The Bill (Reg. No.1468) envisages creation of a Nuclear Waste Treatment Fund under the State Budget of Ukraine; defines the sources of its formation and use of funds for realization of the State Program on Nuclear Waste Treatment.
The Bill introduces amendments to the Law "On Environmental Protection", pursuant to which, the fee for environmental pollution will be imposed also for production and temporary preservation of nuclear waste. These funds will be included in the State Budget of Ukraine and will be used only for implementation of the State Program on Nuclear Waste Treatment.
The Committee recommends that the Parliament forwards the Bill for further elaboration.
